KRISP uses Amnesty International to help the Indians to appear like Americans to call

Audio Startup Krisp said on Wednesday that it launches a new feature that uses artificial intelligence to change the user accent during calls. The company initially provides support to change the English -language dialects to the English language.
The start starting says that the process of converting the accent maintains the audio sound and only turns the audio to match the American dialects. The feature appears to be tested in institutions environments, and the Beta version now comes to the Krisp Desktop application. Users can run the feature at any time or before calls.
Arto Minnesian, co -founder of the company, said that the idea of this feature arose from a problem he faced in his conversations. “Many people do not understand my dialect even though I am talking well. We thought that changing in dialects may help people to better understand each other. We have started working in this problem two years ago, and now we divorce them in Beta.”
However, when this correspondent tested the feature, the therapist was not normal and even missed some words at times. The company attributed these faults to be a experimental version, saying that the model will improve over time.
KRISP claims that when the feature was tested with companies, sales transfer rates increased by 26.1 % and revenue for each book jumped by 14.8 %.

The company said it decided to work on Indian dialects first, as people from the country represent a large part of the global workforce in STEM. There are plans to add support for more accents, including the Filipino.
Other startups such as Sanas supported by GV have published a similar technology in wide -scale communication centers.
The company says it trained the model on thousands of speech samples that covered different dialects and dialects, and used data from the assistant of the meeting after obtaining the user’s approval.
Minassian said another feature of the feature is that it does not need any prior training on the user’s voice because it creates a profile for the speaker in the actual time.
KRISP, who lasts capital in 2021, plans to issue iOS and Android apps this year to support personal meetings. There is also a new Chrome extension to improve integration with Google Meet in the Works.
